Member Spotlight: Celebrating 9 Years of Turnberry at The Court House

9 years of growth for Turnberry

This year, we’re proud to celebrate an important milestone at The Court House, nearly nine years of hosting a long-standing member, Turnberry Development Management.

Co-founded in 2017 by Norrie Kitson, Turnberry Development Management is a specialist management consultancy with expertise in estate development, supporting major organisations to plan new communities and deliver suburban regeneration projects across Scotland and the UK. While their work spans the country and includes a London office, their home base has always been here at The Court House in Kinross.

When Norrie first joined us, Turnberry’s Scottish base was a team of one. Like many growing businesses, flexibility was key. He began in our coworking space, allowing the business to establish itself without the pressure of a long-term commitment. As the team expanded from one to four and beyond, the business transitioned into a private office within the building.

Today, nearly nine years on, Turnberry occupies our largest private office, the former courtroom itself. It’s a space that reflects how far the business has come, and a journey we’ve been delighted to support from day one.

For Norrie, the value of The Court House has always been about more than just square footage.

“It’s been fantastic to have the steady backdrop of The Court House as we’ve grown the business. Everything to do with the venue is taken care of by the Court House team: We just turn up, and the office is always clean, warm and there’s coffee ready.”

The location has also played a key role. Based in Kinross, the Court House offers excellent motorway connectivity via the M90, making travel to projects across Scotland straightforward. Kinross is also easily accessible for the Turnberry team members, helping them to avoid the daily traffic grind to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Stories like Turnberry’s are exactly why The Court House exists. By providing flexible workspace, a supportive team and a welcoming business community, we aim to create a stable foundation where ambitious businesses can grow at their own pace.

We’re proud to have been part of Turnberry’s journey so far and look forward to supporting the next chapter.
