The Court House Coffee Bar and Restaurant was opened in spring 2015, bringing one of the most historic buildings in Kinross, back to life.

The old prison yard is now our garden and patio space and is a sunny and peaceful spot, protected by the original sandstone wall which once kept the resident scoundrels contained.  Now we prefer to use it for al fresco dining.

Inside, the pizza oven is fired up daily using fuel from our very own local woodland.  Our chefs freshly prepare all pizzas to order or to take away.

The Vault is now a cosy private dining area, available to hire for special events.

Our Staff

Our staff make the Court House what it is. Superstars in the making, every one!

The Court House training scheme helps local young people learn useful skills that will stay with them for life.

Watching them progress and grow in confidence is a privilege. Many of our staff leave us at the end of the summer to take up university places and we miss them all. Our new crew comes on board around this time and during their training, speed and efficiency of service: can sometimes be affected.  New trainees wear ‘License to Spill’ shirts, but that (almost) never happens!

We do everything we can to support and nurture their new skills, we hope that you will too.
